Olena Tanasiichuk

Olena Tanasiichuk has been the President of the CF “Social Resources and Initiatives” since 2008.

By profession, she is a philologist, teacher (Yuriy Fedkovych National University), specialist in adult education (International Certification Program in Adult Education Curriculum GlobALE), trainer, facilitator. She is the author and developer of pilot educational programs for adults, co-author of the Practical Guide “How to Survive in an Emergency and During War. Lightly about serious things”.

She has experience in writing, implementing, coordinating, and reporting on more than 75 projects with a total budget of 7.5 million euros. EUR, supported by Johanniter International, OXFAM, IOSS, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden and Sida, the International Renaissance Foundation, the King Baudouin Foundation, the United Nations Population Fund, UNICEF, the Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, DVV International, the Media Development Fund of the US Embassy in Ukraine, the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives, etc.

He has experience in conducting sociological research and successful advocacy campaigns, including in the field of health care for PLWH, palliative care, medical chaplaincy, and in promoting the ratification of the Istanbul Convention.

He is the founder and director of the Open University for Adults in Chernivtsi and a member of the working group of expert analysts of the Eastern European Network of Civil Society Institutions of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC).
