1000 Books for the Children of Eastern Ukraine

The Charitable Foundation "Social Resources and Initiatives" is implementing the project "1000 Books for the Children of Eastern Ukraine". 

 

Geography of the Project: Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions (government-controlled areas). 

 

Objective: To provide children affected by the war in Eastern Ukraine with access to engaging literature in Ukrainian, helping them learn about and take pride in the history of Ukraine. 

 

Duration: June 1 - September 30, 2024. 

 

Planned Activities: 

- 3 educational and entertainment events for children titled “Play and Read.” 

-Distribution of 1,000 books ("Anna Yaroslavna: Kyiv Princess – Queen of France") to libraries, schools, shelters, and volunteer hubs, as well as directly to children who are internally displaced persons or live in government-controlled areas of Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. 

-Distribution of 100 books ("Anna Yaroslavna: Kyiv Princess – Queen of France") in collaboration with the National Guard of Ukraine to children of fallen and wounded soldiers. 

 

This initiative is supported by the A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA publishing house, Metropolitan Serhiy of Donetsk and Mariupol, and Metropolitan Symeon of Dnipropetrovsk and Sichoslav.
