IT Opens Doors to a New Future: Consultation at the Veteran Development Center

At the Veteran Development Center of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, another group consultation was held within the framework of the project “Reintegration of War Veterans and Their Family Members.” The focus of the meeting was on modern IT professions and the new opportunities they create for veterans and their families.

During the event, participants — future psychologists and social workers, including children of veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war — learned about:

  • how the full-scale war has affected Ukraine’s IT market;
  • which technologies are already making work more efficient today;
  • the difference between algorithms and real intelligence;
  • the prospects of using artificial intelligence in education, management, and other spheres of life.

Special attention was given to the topic of artificial intelligence. The speaker, Oleksandr Val, Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Systems Software, Chernivtsi National University, demonstrated both the benefits and the challenges of using modern AI systems through real-life examples.

This initiative was made possible through the cooperation of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation with DVV International Ukraine and with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt), within the framework of the project “Reintegration of War Veterans and Their Family Members through the Creation of Educational Opportunities: Ours for Ours.” The project will continue until February 2026 and foresees the creation of educational and consultation opportunities in different communities across Ukraine.
