Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation Joined the Training Seminar on Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA)

The Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation is constantly improving its work, enhancing the professional level of its team, and exploring new approaches to provide more effective assistance to people. That is why our team participates in training events that foster the development of knowledge and skills in the field of humanitarian action.

On September 26–27, 2025, a Training Seminar on Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA) was held in Kyiv, bringing together representatives of organizations working in the field of protection and assistance to those affected by the war.

The program included sessions on key gender concepts in the humanitarian field, project cycle analysis, discussions on intersectionality, the humanitarian cluster system, and humanitarian reform. Participants also practiced collecting and analyzing gender- and age-disaggregated data, applying the Gender and Age Marker (GAM), and developing their own project ideas during group work.

The Foundation was represented at the seminar by Yulia Potoriy, Project Manager, who actively engaged in the training sessions and practical exercises.

“For us, it is important not only to implement projects but also to continuously grow, learn, and improve. Such seminars are an opportunity to look at our work from a new perspective, discover new tools, and strengthen our team. It is an investment in the quality of assistance we provide to people,” said Yulia Potoriy.

The seminar was held within the framework of the project “Enhancing the Safety, Protection, and Mental Health of Women and Girls, and Ensuring Their Rights”, implemented by UN Women in Ukraine in partnership with Girls NGO. The project is financially supported by the governments of Denmark, Sweden, and Latvia, the UN Women National Committees, and the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
