On September 29, 2025, in Chernivtsi, veteran business plans were presented as the final stage of the Business School for Veterans and Their Families, organized by the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation within the project Reintegration of war veterans through the creation of educational opportunities: One plus one".

For several months, participants underwent training, worked with mentors, and developed their own business ideas. The final chord was their presentation before an independent jury.

The participants presented business ideas covering a wide range of fields: from coffee shops, confectioneries, beauty salons, event management, and psychological services to tea production, farming, photography studios, and music recording studios. Among the ideas were also: a garden center, water rehabilitation, media production, confectionery manufacturing, installation services, and animation services.

Each of those who created a business idea has gone through loss, pain, war, and uncertainty. But the most valuable thing they preserved is their inner strength. Strength that does not allow them to give up. Strength that inspires all of us to keep moving forward. Their business ideas are beautiful, useful, and important not only for themselves but also for the entire country. These are ideas that build the future, shape a new economy, and restore society.

The business plans were evaluated by an independent jury consisting of:

  • Olena Tanasiychuk — President of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation;
  • Yevheniia Pavliuk — Head of the “Small Business Development Fund” Charity Foundation;
  • Liubov Kozholianko — Director of the Chernivtsi Regional Employment Center;
  • Alina Lytvynchuk — entrepreneur from Chernivtsi;
  • Yuliia Bartle — military volunteer;
  • Oleksii Popovych — entrepreneur from Chernivtsi and active serviceman.

The jury applied transparent evaluation criteria, including innovation, feasibility, financial justification, and social significance of the ideas. Within a week, six winners will be selected to receive up to 400,000 UAH each for the purchase of equipment to launch their businesses.

Mentorship support was provided throughout the preparation stage by business development experts Oksana Palagecha and Oksana Danyliuk, who helped refine the ideas and ensure high-quality preparation for the final presentations.

“It is extremely important for us to create opportunities where veterans and their families can not only gain knowledge but also realize their dreams in concrete business projects. Each idea presented is a story of resilience, faith in oneself, and belief in the future. Our task is to support these people on their path to building their own businesses,” emphasized Olena Tanasiychuk, President of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation.

We are proud to stand alongside our veterans and their families. They have proven that they are capable of defending Ukraine with weapons in hand. And now they are ready to defend its development — with their knowledge, persistence, and businesses. Their strength is our shared victory.
