A Step Toward a New Future: The Second Wave of Educational Courses for Veterans and Their Families

In Chernivtsi, the second wave of training for veterans and their family members has begun with the course “Basics of Nail Service”, implemented within the project “Reintegration of War Veterans through Educational Opportunities: One Plus One”.

This is more than just learning about manicure — it’s about believing in oneself, discovering new opportunities, and returning to a life where there is room for beauty, care, and calm.
During each class, we see light filling the room — in smiles, conversations, mutual support, and first achievements. That light is recovery itself.

The “Basics of Nail Service” course combines theory and practice. Participants are mastering:

  • Fundamentals of nail service for aspiring professionals;
  • Hardware manicure, nail preparation, and single-tone coating;
  • Combined manicure and gel polish application;
  • Nail strengthening and perfect color under the cuticle;
  • Full manicure with design;
  • The course will conclude with an exam and certificate ceremony.

The goal of the course is to provide participants with professional knowledge and practical skills in manicure, nail extension, and design, as well as prepare them for employment in the beauty industry or for starting their own business.

When a new skill appears in life — a new path opens.
And that path always leads to recovery.

These educational opportunities are part of the project Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities: Ours for Ours, implemented by the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation in partnership with DVV International in Ukraine with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
