On November 6–8, 2025, the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation held a three-day strategic session in Chernivtsi dedicated to developing the Foundation’s Development Strategy for 2025–2027.
The event brought together the Foundation’s team from various regions of Ukraine — primarily women leaders who work daily in humanitarian response, education, psychological support, and community development.
The goal of the strategic session was not only to design an action plan or a new development strategy, but also to strengthen institutional capacity, team unity, and a long-term vision of the Foundation’s role in supporting women, internally displaced persons, veterans and their families, as well as families of the fallen, the missing, and those in captivity, and representatives of war-affected communities.
Participants aimed to define what the organization of the future should be — modern, resilient, value-driven, and grounded in transparency, safety, and humanity. A key focus was on understanding the shared mission — to help, support, and rebuild — while nurturing an internal culture of respect, partnership, and psychological resilience.
Over three days, participants worked on updating the Foundation’s mission, values, and “organizational DNA,” conducted SWOT and PEST analyses, and developed a vision for growth through 2027 as well as an operational plan for 2026.
An important part of the discussions focused on institutional safety, PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) policies, work-life balance, and team mental health.
“For us, this session is not just about planning — it’s about becoming one whole. Our team works across ten regions of Ukraine, and now we clearly understand who we are, where we are going, and why our work matters for women, children, and communities we serve,” said Olena Tanasiychuk, President of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation.
“When people work in different regions and don’t see each other every day, such meetings are not a luxury but a necessity. It’s an opportunity to see each other in person, to listen, to understand, to learn more about one another. This is when real trust is formed — when you feel that we are not just colleagues but a team united by shared values and purpose.”
“Strategic thinking is our way to ensure sustainability and professionalism amid the challenges of war and recovery,” noted Yevheniia Pavliuk, foundation member and Regional Coordinator for the Kyiv region.
“We’re leaving this session not only with a document but with renewed energy and a clear understanding that each team member is part of a greater common mission,” said Oksana Palagecha, Foundation member.
“Today there was more energy, inspiration, and a sense of something good ahead. I learned so much about my colleagues from different regions and felt a true connection to an important shared cause,” shared Kateryna Beresheva, the Foundation’s representative in the Kharkiv region.
The event was implemented within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the ‘Public Resources and Initiatives’ Charity Foundation,” funded by The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) with technical support of UN Women Ukraine.
