The Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation Participated in the VETERANS RESTART 2025 Forum in Kyiv

On 17 December 2025, the VETERANS RESTART 2025 Forum took place in Kyiv — an event aimed at discussing the current needs of veterans and their families, the development of reintegration programs, health support, education, sports, and social adaptation. Participants included representatives of government institutions, veteran communities, international organizations, business, and civil society.

The Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation was represented at the forum by its President, Olena Tanasiichuk, who took part in the “VETERAN KNOWS” panel. She shared the Foundation’s experience gained through the project Reintegration of war veterans through the creation of educational opportunities: One plus one, implemented in cooperation with DVV International. The project is currently being implemented in Chernivtsi region and demonstrates strong potential for scaling to other regions of Ukraine.

In her speech, Olena Tanasiichuk emphasized the importance of practical educational, psychological, and career-oriented programs for veterans, as well as the need to support families who go through the adaptation process together with servicemen and servicewomen:

“Ukraine begins with people. When veterans and their families are given opportunities, they create a new reality — for themselves, for their communities, and for the country,” she stressed.

The President of the Foundation also expressed special gratitude to the forum organizers, KNP ‘Military Sport’, for supporting the charitable initiative “Give Kindness. Children-to-Children”, under which part of the funds raised will be allocated to Christmas gifts for children of fallen, missing, and captured Defenders of Ukraine.

During the discussions, experts also emphasized the importance of developing veteran entrepreneurship initiatives. Oksana Palagecha, co-organizer of the Forum, business trainer, and manager of veteran-focused projects, noted:

“Business education and mentoring support provide veterans not only with tools, but also with confidence in their own strength. It is extremely important that such programs are accessible in every region of Ukraine.”

The Forum became a platform for discussing models of veteran support and opportunities to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation. The Foundation’s team emphasized that such programs should be developed across all regions of Ukraine, as the needs of veterans and their families remain relevant regardless of their place of residence.
