A total of 119 families affected by the war have received essential items for everyday life through the donor initiative “People Warm People,” implemented by the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation.
The assistance was delivered to families living in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions—areas that continue to face constant threats, shelling, and energy disruptions.
Within the initiative, families received:
These items help people cope with cold weather, power outages, and unstable electricity supply, which have become a daily reality for many communities during the war.

At first glance, these may seem like ordinary household items. However, in wartime they carry a much deeper meaning. When a person can warm up under a blanket during a blackout, charge a phone to stay connected with loved ones, or light their home during a power outage, it becomes more than just assistance.
It is a reminder that someone cares. That somewhere there are people thinking about them and wanting to help.
“Solidarity has no borders. Our project shows that people can support others even if they have never met them. When help comes from other countries, it is not only about things. It is about humanity, compassion, and the feeling that we are not alone,” said Olena Tanasiichuk, President of the Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation.

The project became possible thanks to private donors from Latvia and the United States, who raised and transferred over 160,000 UAH to support families affected by the war.
These donors have never met the families personally. Yet they chose not to remain indifferent. This is how true international solidarity works today.
The Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation sincerely thanks everyone who contributed to the initiative, especially Natalia Khazan and Natalia Heyman, for their support and trust.
Every such step helps people endure difficult times and reminds us that even in the darkest moments, people are capable of warming one another.
