Participants of the Veteran Business Expo

One of the key ideas behind our Veterans Future Forum: Work. Business. Communities — the first platform of the veteran economy was to combine two formats: panel discussions and speeches with a dedicated Veteran Business Expo space, where it was possible to see and truly feel what veteran entrepreneurship in Ukraine looks like today — through people and their work.

This is where veterans and their family members presented their businesses.

This is where conversations happened — lively, real, and direct. New connections were made, contacts exchanged, and first agreements reached.

  • For some, it was their first public presentation of their business.
  • For others — an opportunity to expand their network.
  • For many — new clients and partnerships.

For our Foundation, this became a confirmation of one of the Forum’s key messages: veterans are already building the economy.

With their own hands, decisions, and lived experience.

The Expo featured a wide range of businesses — from coffee shops and local production to services and creative initiatives.

And behind each of them — a real story and daily work.

Among the participants:

CAFEIN Coffee Shop (Kitsman) — a place of comfort, rest, and reset. Created after military service, it reflects a renewed sense of life, appreciation of simple things, and the desire to build a space “for one’s own.” Founded by veteran Vitalii Budenchuk, who chose entrepreneurship after returning from the front as a new point of support — for himself and for others.

MORART — a premium brand offering oil painting art kits, original artworks, and professional learning materials for those who want to start painting from scratch. https://halynamorar.com/

MRIA VR — a sewing and embroidery workshop born in a Ukrainian village, carrying the depth of tradition and the strength of handmade craftsmanship. https://www.instagram.com/_mria.vr.shop_

Kidsbook (Mykolaiv) — where a child becomes the hero of their own story. In a world where it’s hard to surprise children, Kidsbook creates real magic through personalized books with the child as the main character. https://kids-b.com/

Sorochynska Craft — sweets to be experienced, not just tasted. A craft confectionery brand combining natural ingredients, deep flavors, and a philosophy of sensory experience. https://www.instagram.com/sorochynska_craft

My Pahlava (Lviv) — a workshop born in spring 2022 from the idea of preserving and reinterpreting Crimean Tatar traditions through sweets. The brand combines authentic recipes, handmade production, and deep cultural meaning, telling the story of Crimea. Founded by Lerane Tulchyi. https://www.instagram.com/qirim_dvorik/

In the next posts, we will continue introducing more participants of the Veteran Business Expo.

Today, we simply want to highlight that this was about the opportunity to see each other, to connect directly, and to have real conversations without посредників. It was also about recognizing that there are already people рядом — those you can collaborate with, build solutions together, and move forward.

We are grateful to everyone who joined the Expo —
for your openness, for your willingness to present your work, and for your trust.

This part of the Forum is something we definitely want to grow further.
