ODESA: Call for Applications Open for the Business School for Veterans and Their Family Members

Public Resources and Initiatives Charity Foundation continues its programme of business schools for veterans and their family members. Following the launch of the Kyiv Business School, which in spring 2026 brought participants together around business ideas, practical learning and mentoring support, the Foundation is now opening applications for the Odesa Business School.

The programme welcomes people who want to develop a business plan, start their own business or grow an existing one, including:

— combatants;
— persons with disabilities as a result of war;
— family members of combatants or persons with disabilities as a result of war, including:
• wives or husbands, including those of fallen/deceased Defenders;
• children, including those of fallen/deceased Defenders;
• parents, including those of fallen/deceased Defenders.

The business school programme includes:

• development of an individual business plan;
• practical knowledge for launching and developing a business;
• work on a business model;
• support and mentoring;
• a community of people who understand each other’s experiences and are ready to move forward.

Participation in the business school is free of charge.

The business school is not only about entrepreneurship training. It is a space of support, trust and practical movement forward for those who have their own idea but need knowledge, structure, guidance and belief in their own strength.

Within the programme, participants will be able to work step by step on their own business idea, gain practical knowledge for starting or developing a business, prepare a business plan and receive mentoring support. The training focuses on real tools that help turn an idea into a viable business model.

The business school training will be delivered by Oksana Palagecha, an experienced trainer working in the areas of entrepreneurship, business planning and the development of one’s own business. Her approach combines practical tools, individual attention to participants’ business ideas and support at every stage — from the initial concept to a completed business plan.

During the business school, Oksana will help participants not only gain knowledge but also apply it to their own situation: understand the strengths of their idea, identify risks, define realistic first steps and move more confidently towards starting or developing their own business.

We believe that for veterans and their families, owning a business can become not only a source of income, but also a path to recovery, confidence, self-realisation and new opportunities.

The number of places is limited.
