Continuing Our Support: Why Humanitarian Aid Remains Essential

Twelve years of war in Ukraine have brought millions of people the loss of their homes, stability, safety, and confidence in the future. For many families, meeting their basic daily needs remains a serious challenge.

Under these circumstances, humanitarian assistance continues to be highly relevant. It remains an important source of support for people most affected by the consequences of the war and helps them endure difficult life circumstances.

The Public Resources and Initiatives Charitable Foundation believes that this assistance is essential for several reasons.

First, many families have lost their sources of income or employment, or have been forced to leave their homes. This has made it significantly more difficult for them to provide themselves with food and other basic necessities.

Second, prolonged uncertainty, social tension, and constant psychological pressure gradually exhaust families’ resources. Regular material support helps reduce the burden of everyday expenses and gives people a greater sense of stability.

Third, humanitarian assistance is an expression of solidarity. It reminds people who are experiencing loss, pain, and difficult life circumstances that they have not been left alone with their problems.

Our Work

To support the families of Ukrainian Heroes, the Public Resources and Initiatives Charitable Foundation, with the support of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ukraine, provides food vouchers every month to 400 families of fallen and missing defenders, as well as Ukrainians held in captivity.

The assistance is provided in Chernihiv, the Sicheslav region, Nikopol, and Kharkiv.

This is our contribution to supporting those most affected by the war and to strengthening a culture of mutual assistance within society.

We continue our work, building bridges of solidarity, humanity, and support.
