From Training to Their Own Initiatives: Leadership School Participants Presented Project Ideas in Chernivtsi

On 11 September 2026, participants of the “Leadership School for Young Women in European Integration” presented their project ideas in Chernivtsi. This was one of the final stages of the training programme, during which the participants introduced their own initiatives aimed at addressing current challenges in communities across Chernivtsi region.

The project ideas were a practical outcome of several months of training, during which the participants worked on topics including women’s leadership, civic participation, communication, project management, and grant proposal development.

The initiatives presented covered a wide range of social issues. They included support for women who have experienced loss or forced displacement, creating new opportunities for mothers of children with disabilities, promoting accessibility, engaging young people in community life, and preserving cultural heritage.

Despite the diversity of topics and approaches, the participants shared a common motivation: not only to identify problems in their communities, but also to propose concrete ways of addressing them.

During the presentations, the participants had the opportunity to introduce the objectives of their projects, planned activities and expected results, and to explain why their initiatives are important for their communities.

The next stage will be the selection of projects that will receive mini-grant support for implementation. The programme provides funding for participants’ initiatives so that the ideas developed during the training can move from concept to tangible change in local communities.

We thank all participants for their commitment, courage in proposing their own solutions, and readiness to take responsibility for creating change around them.
