On 12 September, a delegation from Chernivtsi region met in Constanța, Romania, with experts in Black Sea security brought together around the Black Sea House Association, a long-standing partner of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation and the Chernivtsi Regional In-Service Training Center.
The meeting was attended by Mykola Huitor, Acting Head of the Chernivtsi Regional Council; Mykhailo Pavliuk, Deputy Head of the Regional Council; Mykola Kutsak, Head of the Chernivtsi District Council; and Serhii Hakman, Deputy Director of the Chernivtsi Regional In-Service Training Center and Vice President of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation.

The discussion focused on the security situation in the Black Sea region, countering Russian disinformation, attempts to weaken support for Ukraine, and efforts to slow down Ukraine’s European integration.
The participants also discussed challenges in the energy, humanitarian and security sectors. The Ukrainian delegation provided an update on the situation in Ukraine, the work of local self-government during the war, and the importance of continued support for Ukraine ahead of the difficult autumn and winter period.
Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Black Sea House Association excluded the aggressor state from its partners. As a sign of solidarity with Ukraine, the place designated for the corresponding flag remains empty.
We sincerely thank Dorin Popescu, Head of the Association, and his colleagues for their hospitality, continued support for Ukraine and meaningful dialogue.
