December 2023 – February 2024: Participation in the Preparation of the International Round Table
"730 Days of War in the Heart of Europe: Consequences, Realities, and Prospects at the Regional and Global Levels"
From December 2023 to February 2024, the Charitable Foundation "Social Resources and Initiatives" participated, as a partner, in the organization and implementation of the international round table "A Year of War in Ukraine: Beginning, Evolution, and Prospects," initiated by the Union of Ukrainians in Romania and the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities in the Chamber of Deputies of Romania.
On February 27, 2024, the Round Table "730 Days of War in the Heart of Europe: Consequences, Realities, and Prospects at the Regional and Global Levels" was held at the Palace of the Parliament in Romania.
The event was organized by the Union of Ukrainians in Romania (UUR) in partnership with the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities in the Chamber of Deputies. The Charitable Foundation "Social Resources and Initiatives," the NGO "Center for Political Narratives of Democracy," and the Association "Casa Mării Negre / Black Sea House" also contributed to the event’s organization.
At the round table, Serhii Hakman, Vice President of the Charitable Foundation "Social Resources and Initiatives," and Natalia Nechaeva-Yuriychuk, a member of the Foundation, delivered key speeches.
The round table was preceded by a visual narrative of the war in Ukraine—the opening of the photo exhibition "730 Days of War in the Heart of Europe: The Conflict in Images," organized in partnership with the Agerpres news agency.
The exhibition featured photographs by Cristian Lupașcu, a correspondent for Agerpres, who, through the lens of his camera, captured the emotions and realities of the war during his 15 trips to Ukraine.
His photographs depict the situation in Ukraine with striking clarity and serve as a manifesto—a call to recognize the tragedy and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
The Round Table was opened by Mykola-Miroslav Petretsky, Chairman of the Union of Ukrainians in Romania and Member of Parliament.
The discussion focused on several key priorities, including:
