Humanitarian support for families of the deceased, missing, and those in captivity

Project Duration:  02-12.2025 (11 months)

Geographical Coverage:  Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions

Objective: To provide humanitarian assistance to families of deceased (deceased) military personnel, those missing in action, or in captivity who do not receive state benefits.

The ongoing war has significantly increased the number of families who have lost a loved one during combat or lost contact with their relatives. Many families remain outside official statistics due to various reasons preventing them from obtaining the legal status of a "family member of a fallen defender," "missing in action," or "prisoner of war." Some are in the process of obtaining this status, which can take over six months.

These families are experiencing profound grief while also facing severe financial hardship, as they do not receive state benefits or support. Additionally, they are often overlooked by humanitarian organizations because they lack the required documentation or official confirmation of their status.

Many of these families include young children, elderly members, and critically ill individuals who require special care and financial support for essential caregiving supplies. As a result, the demand for humanitarian assistance from these families is exceptionally high.
