International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Trends in Regional Cooperation: The Ukrainian-Romanian-Moldovan Dimension”

From March to May 2016, the Charitable Foundation “Public Resources and Initiatives,” in cooperation with the Center for Romanian Studies, the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the Consulate General of Romania in Chernivtsi, the Institute for Democratization and Development, and the “European Convergences” Association, took part in the preparation of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Trends in Regional Cooperation: The Ukrainian-Romanian-Moldovan Dimension,” which was held on May 12–13, 2016.

The conference brought together leading scholars, university professors, researchers from academic institutions, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations and media from Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, and Romania.

The conference addressed the following thematic areas:

  • Security on the eastern border of the EU: military and informational factors
  • Current regional issues: analysis and forecasting of regional phenomena and processes
  • European identity and cultural diversity on the eastern border of the European Union
  • Border regions: prospects and realities of cross-border cooperation development
  • Ukraine-Romania-Moldova: intergovernmental dialogue
  • Public diplomacy as a modern priority for NGO activity

A collection of academic articles and conference materials will be published following the event.
