The Eastern European Regional Network of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC) held a working meeting in Chełm, Poland, from November 28 to 30, 2024.
A member of the Network for 16 years, the Charitable Foundation "Social Resources and Initiatives" also participated in this event, represented by Vice President Serhiy Hakman and member Natalia Nechaieva-Yuriichuk.
The meeting focused on the regional situation, analyzed the activities of civil society organizations within the Network, and outlined strategies and priority areas of work amid the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
As part of the meeting, online sessions were held to exchange experiences with representatives from regional networks in the Global South and the Balkans.
During the organizational meeting, the Fund "Social Resources and Initiatives" was officially elected as the coordinator of the Eastern European Network for the next three years. Additionally, Natalia Nechaieva-Yuriichuk was appointed as the regional representative of the Eastern European GPPAC Network alongside Andrii Kamenshchykov, who has held the position since 2005.
The work will continue, with Fund members committed to making every effort to improve the region's conflict dynamics and to uphold the trust placed in them by their partners.
