Children of the Nikopol district received 650 gifts for St. Nicholas Day

The Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine delivered a van filled with sweets, books, toys, and tangerines for children living under constant shelling.

For St. Nicholas Day Sunday schools and clergy from the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine collected many gifts to send to children living in Nikopol and Marhanets in the Sicheslav region.

Led by Bishop Feognost (Bodoryak), the heads of the youth ministry, social service, and Sunday school departments prepared for three weeks to deliver the festive packages. On the holiday eve, despite artillery shelling, the festive cargo, accompanied by clergy from Bukovyna, arrived in the city of Nikopol.

Thanks to the coordinated teamwork of our Foundation's representative, Archimandrite Merkuriy (Skorokhod), and volunteers, St. Nicholas's helpers safely delivered the gifts, handed them over to Father Merkuriy, and continued their journey further east.

We are delighted to share photos of the happy children of resilient Nikopol, who are receiving a bit of joy during these turbulent, war-torn days.

A heartfelt thank you to our friends, partners, and teams who follow their hearts to spread kindness!
