Photo exhibition “Eyes of War” tells the story of Ukrainians' struggle

A delegation from the Foundation, together with the Acting Head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, Mykhailo Pavlyuk, visited Suceava, where they opened the photo exhibition “Eyes of War” at the Sbiera Library and participated in a roundtable discussion titled “Cross-Border Cooperation in Wartime: Public Diplomacy and Humanitarian Aid.”

The Foundation showed around 20 pictures taken by Serhiy Divieiev, a photographer from Dnipro, in Romania. The images capture the eyes of soldiers, freed defenders, volunteers, medics, actors, and ordinary Ukrainians. Young activists from Suceava, university professors, journalists, public figures, and representatives of humanitarian and religious organizations had the opportunity to see these photos, which were taken out of the nearly occupied Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.

The roundtable discussion highlighted key regional obstacles, particularly the significance of international assistance, especially considering the suspension of some programs such as USAID, and the crucial role of European funds and donations for Ukraine.

Participants of the roundtable convincingly argued that international partners’ support for Ukraine is vital for maintaining peace and democratic values in Europe. They also expressed gratitude to Romania for its humanitarian assistance.

Previously, the Foundation presented the “Eyes of War” photo exhibition in Chernivtsi at the Mykhailo Ivasiuk Chernivtsi Regional Universal Scientific Library
