International Forum "Three Years of War: Seeking Pathways to Sustainable Peace"

The International Forum "Three Years of War: Seeking Pathways to Sustainable Peace", organized by the Union of Ukrainians in Romania, brought together members of parliament, officials, experts, and representatives of civil society institutions from Romania and Ukraine on February 25 in Bucharest.

Among the participants were representatives of the Public Resources and Initiatives Foundation: Sergiy Hakman, Vice President of the Foundation, and Nataliya Nechayeva-Yuriychuk, Head of its Chernivtsi regional branch.

The issues raised during the discussions were complex and painful. The ongoing war in Ukraine, the Kremlin’s aggressive policies, the first decisions of the Trump administration, and new security challenges at both regional and global levels shape our current reality.

Forum participants emphasized their support for Ukraine’s state sovereignty and the importance of joint efforts in shaping the modern security space.

  • Sergiy Hakman, in his speech, outlined the key legal aspects of Moscow’s crimes against Ukraine, emphasizing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
  • Nataliya Nechayeva-Yuriychuk highlighted that global security begins with the security of the individual and stressed that only together can we stop the aggressor.

A heartfelt thank you to the Union of Ukrainians in Romania for their systematic support of Ukraine and their active work in mobilizing Ukrainians living in the neighboring country to preserve their identity
