Consultation for Veterans in Luzhany: On Effective Communication at Work and in Business

On August 5, a group consultation for veterans and their family members took place at the Veterans’ Hub in the village of Luzhany on the topic: “Effective Communication for Work and Business.”

The consultation was conducted by Nataliia Nechaeva-Yuriiсhuk and Nataliia Filiak — trainers on communication and teamwork, members of the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation.

The program covered:

  • how to effectively present oneself and one’s ideas;
  • how to be persuasive when communicating with colleagues, partners, or clients;
  • how to develop active listening and negotiation skills.

Veterans and their family members received practical tools for:

  • adaptation in a professional environment;
  • building a career;
  • developing their own business.

Who can take part in such events:

  • combatants;
  • persons with disabilities caused by the war;
  • family members of veterans, including families of fallen Defenders (wives/husbands, children, parents) residing in Chernivtsi and the region.

The next training “Effective Communication for Work and Business” will take place on August 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Mykhailo Ivasyuk Chernivtsi Regional Universal Scientific Library. Registration is required VIA THE LINK. 

The training activities are held within the framework of the project Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities: Ours for Ours, implemented by the “Public Resources and Initiatives” Charity Foundation in partnership with DVV International in Ukraine with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

Also within the project, a series of trainings is planned (participant recruitment will be announced later):

  • how to obtain funding for your own startup,
  • modern IT professions for veterans,
  • finance for non-financiers,
  • business Ukrainian language,
  • project writing and management.

The project will last until February 2026 and includes not only educational activities but also psychological support, business grants, consultations, and integration events.
