“Treasure Shelters”: we keep stocking bomb shelters with everything children need

While summer is in full swing for some — vacations, the sea, children’s camps — we are hard at work preparing shelters for kids. As part of the Treasure Shelters project, we continue systematically stocking bomb shelters with everything needed so that children can wait out air raids safely and usefully.

The frontline Sicheslavshchyna (Dnipropetrovsk region), which stood up to the occupiers back in 2014, now suffers daily from attacks — ballistic missiles, Shaheds, and even glide bombs (KABs). That means we must do everything possible to protect what’s most precious — our children.

We are equipping shelters with:

  • board games, toys, and creative kits;
  • carefully selected children’s books from A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA Publishers;
  • comfortable furniture and essential items for a more livable stay.

These are more than just things — they help reduce anxiety, preserve a semblance of normal learning and play, and support children and educators in difficult moments.

Our sincere thanks to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ukraine and to all partners and donors for making the “Treasure Shelters” project possible.

Together, we’re turning shelters into safe, cozy, and meaningful spaces — so childhood can continue, no matter what.

We protect what’s most precious. We defend what’s dearest.
